How we handle your information

Last updated: April 22, 2026  ·  Effective: April 22, 2026

Plain-English summary: We collect the information you put on our affiliate application form, plus technical data like your IP address. We use it to review your application, communicate with you, and — if you're accepted — manage your participation in our affiliate program. We don't sell your personal information, and we list every third party we share it with below.

1. Who we are

This site (apply.homedirectmarketing.com) is operated by Connection Holdings, LLC, doing business as Home Direct Marketing ("HDM", "we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the affiliate application process, how we use it, and the choices you have.

If you have questions, contact us at hello@homedirectmarketing.com.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide through the application form

When you complete our affiliate application, we collect:

  • Contact details: first name, last name, business email address, phone number, company name, country.
  • Optional profile information: LinkedIn profile URL, any message or notes you include.
  • Business information: the types of traffic you generate (e.g., display, native, search, social, email, push, SMS, pay-per-call, SEO, TV, radio, or other), your current or prior affiliate networks, and the marketing verticals you're interested in (e.g., home services, insurance, solar, legal, finance).

2.2 Information we collect automatically

When you visit this site, we log operational and security data, including:

  • Your IP address and approximate geographic region derived from it
  • Your browser type, operating system, and device characteristics (user-agent string)
  • Referring URL, pages visited, and request timing
  • Request IDs we generate for debugging
  • Timing signals (when the form was opened vs. submitted) used to detect automated spam

2.3 Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies sparingly:

  • admin_session — set only if you log into our internal admin dashboard. Authenticates your session. Deleted when you sign out.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile (if enabled) — may set short-lived cookies to verify that you are a human rather than a bot. Governed by Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

We store a small A/B testing variant flag in your browser's localStorage to keep headline variations consistent across visits. This value is not transmitted anywhere except back to our server as part of your application submission so we can measure which variant converted.

We do not use tracking cookies from advertising networks on this site.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Review and process your affiliate application
  • Communicate with you about your application, onboarding, and — if accepted — your participation in our affiliate program
  • Schedule onboarding and check-in calls
  • Verify information you provide and detect fraud or abuse
  • Operate, secure, and improve the site
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

4. Legal bases we rely on (EEA/UK applicants)

If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal data on one or more of these legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract or steps toward one — to review your application and, if accepted, operate the affiliate relationship.
  • Legitimate interests — to secure the site, prevent fraud, maintain operational logs, and pursue commercial relationships with qualified partners.
  • Consent — where you've given it (for example, for any optional marketing emails you may opt into in the future).
  • Legal obligation — when required by applicable law.

5. Who we share information with

We share your information only with the service providers and partners listed below. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

6. How long we keep your information

Application data is retained for 90 days by default, after which it is automatically deleted from our systems by our retention policy — unless (a) you are accepted into the affiliate program, in which case we retain records for the duration of our relationship plus a reasonable period thereafter, (b) we are legally required to retain it longer, or (c) retention is necessary to resolve disputes or enforce agreements.

Aggregated or de-identified data may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes. Request-level operational logs are retained on a shorter rotation.

7. Your rights

7.1 Everyone

You may contact us at hello@homedirectmarketing.com to:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your information (subject to legal retention requirements)

  • Know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell (we do not sell personal information)
  • Request deletion of personal information we collected about you
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary to operate our business)
  • Not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights

You may exercise these rights by emailing us at the address above. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request. You may also designate an authorized agent to act on your behalf.

7.3 EEA / UK / Swiss residents (GDPR)

In addition to the rights above, you have the right to data portability, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7.4 Canadian residents (PIPEDA / CASL)

You have the right to access and request correction of your personal information. Commercial electronic messages are sent only where permitted by CASL, and every such message includes an unsubscribe mechanism.

8. Email communications and opt-out

When we send you transactional or marketing email, each message includes an unsubscribe link or instructions for opting out (CAN-SPAM, CASL). You may always reply to any email we send to request removal. Some messages — such as those directly related to your application or an active affiliate account — are operational and will continue even if you opt out of marketing.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information — including TLS encryption of data in transit, access controls on our admin dashboard, rate limiting, timing-safe credential comparison, and automated retention limits. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International data transfers

We and our service providers may process your information in the United States and other countries whose data-protection laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.

11. Children's privacy

This site is intended for business and marketing professionals and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Third-party links

Our site and emails may link to third-party sites (such as Cal.com). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services. Review their privacy policies before providing them with information.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above indicates when this version became effective. Material changes will be communicated prominently on this page or, where appropriate, by email.
